TRAINING NEEDS: You need this course IF
you ever feel like you re doing things the long way around;
it seems like you re fighting ArchiCAD rather than having a good friend
you have given up trying to figure out how some features are supposed to work
you really want to understand the best AND fastest ways to get things done
Do these points seem familiar? Am I reading your mind? THEN THIS COURSE IS HERE TO RESOLVE YOUR POSITION
Once you integrate these simple yet powerful Best Practices essential principles:
You'll have ArchiCAD working FOR you instead of against you its much less stressful to go with the flow of the program
You ll be amazed at how much more you get done course members report 25-50 or more improvement in productivity
Your creativity will be freed as you work in harmony with the structure and philosophy at the core of the software.
What past attendees comment about this course:
This course provides much more than it's advertised to do. The material is presented in a progressively organized and very thorough manner. The chunks of information are just the right size to incorporate into a busy practice. Well worth the investment in time and money. - Malick Traore, Class of 2013.

ADVANCED ArchiCAD
Modeling Basics
In this lesson trainees start to model a multi-story office building from scratch. They will construct the base grid, create the two towers and place slabs between the stories. Also, trainees will learn how ArchiCAD represents the 3D model on Floor Plans in conformity with architectural conventions.
The Example Project
Building the Model Setting Up Stories
Building the Model Creating the Grid
Building the Model Building a Tower
Building the Model Creating Slabs
Building the Model Multiplying Elements Across Stories
Building the Model Creating the Other Tower
Building the Model Sections, Elevations
Complete the Model
In this lesson trainees will finish the sample project model. They will construct the central stairwell, using Hotlinked Modules to speed up working with repetitive elements. They will create stairs, elevators, partition walls and get to know the Parametric Library Parts of ArchiCAD.
The Hotlinked Modules
Creating Stairs
Creating Partition Walls
Creating Slabs
Adding Doors
Adding Objects
Finalizing the Ground Floor
Advanced Modeling Features
In this lesson trainees will learn about some advanced modeling features of ArchiCAD like profiled building elements, Shell and Morph tool. They will finish modeling our building. All measurements are in mm unless otherwise stated.
Profiled Elements
Creating a Shell
Creating Other Freeform Elements
Documentation, Visualization
In this lesson, participants will create views for the documentation of our project. They ll get to know the Zone and dimensioning tools of ArchiCAD. To make the documentation more interesting and meaningful, we ll also visualize the building in different ways.

USING TEAMWORK IN ARCHICAD
The Teamwork Concept
In Teamwork, several people can work on the same project simultaneously. The Teamwork solution handles all aspects of this collaborative work. For example, Teamwork can be configured to allow only a particular user to modify a given element; enable users to update their versions of the project file with modifications made by others; and allow them to easily communicate with each other in the context of the project.
In this section, trainees are given a brief overview of the concept. Participants get to work with the various features of the latest version of Teamwork.
Part 1 Setting Up Teamwork
Installing the BIM Server
Managing the BIM Server
Managing the BIM Server Locally | Managing the BIM Server Remotely
Defining Roles
Managing Users
Sharing the Project
Sharing the Project | Managing the Shared Project
Part 2 Working in Teamwork
Joining the Teamwork Project
Architect 1 Joining the Project | Architect 2 Joining the Project
Reserving Workspaces
Reserving Elements by Selection | Reserving Elements by Criteria | Creating New Elements
Sending and Receiving Changes
Sending the Changes | Sending and Receiving the Changes | Receiving the Changes | Offline Status | Working Offline | Releasing Selected Elements | Releasing All Elements |
Instant Team Communication
Simple Text Messages | Element Based Messages Ask for Review | Element Based Messages Requesting Elements | Element Based Messages Assigning Elements | Task Messages
Reserving Other Project Data
Reserving Element Attributes | Working with Views and Layouts
Adding a BIM Server Library
Uploading the Library to the BIM Server | Adding a BIM Server Library to the project
Editing and creating Library Parts
Editing an Existing Library Part | Creating a New Library Part and Adding it to a BIM Server Library
